Engineering & Fiber Feasibility Studies

Confirming your site's readiness for AI compute development. AITechnology Bridge is the engineering and technical readiness partner behind AIEnergy Bridge, Inc. While AIEB pairs power generation with modular, containerized GPU infrastructure, we answer the question that comes first: is your site actually ready to host a Modular Compute Unit?

We coordinate and deliver the engineering and fiber feasibility studies needed to validate your site's power, connectivity, and physical infrastructure — giving you a clear, documented picture of what's already in place and what would need to be added before deployment.

Why This Matters

Answer The Site Question Before The Commercial One

Whether you're considering a colocation arrangement, a power partnership, an off-take agreement, or hosting an AIEB Modular Compute Unit outright, everything depends on whether your site can support the deployment being discussed. Moving straight into commercial terms without answering that question first is the most common way these projects stall, get renegotiated, or run into costly surprises during construction.

Protects your investment

Confirming power, fiber, and site conditions up front means you're not committing capital or signing terms based on assumptions.

Gives you a clear scope of work

The study tells you exactly what already exists on your site versus what would need to be built, upgraded, or procured.

Speeds up your path to a signed deal

Once your site is validated, conversations about pricing, term, and structure move forward on solid ground instead of guesswork.

Surfaces issues while they're still cheap to fix

Finding a gap during a feasibility study costs far less than finding it mid-construction.

In short: this study tells you and AIEB exactly what's needed to bring a Modular Compute Unit to your site — before either of us commits to terms the site may not be able to support.

FFaaS

Fiber Feasibility As A Service

Working with our partner Global Telecom Consulting (GTC), we determine whether your site — including raw land or a LAT/LONG-only location without a formal address — can be connected to the carrier-grade fiber required for HPC/GPU compute. Many site owners already have power in place but don't have the carrier relationships needed to properly size and deliver connectivity. That's the gap FFaaS closes.

What You Can Expect, Step By Step

  1. Intake

We verify your available power and development plans, and add your site to our tracked inventory for ongoing assessment.

  2. Phase 0

Desktop Research & Carrier Outreach ($2,000) — we identify nearby fiber routes and reach out to carriers to verify capacity, age, and reach on your behalf, including a field visit and a fully branded report for your records.

  3. Phase 1–2

Engineering & Route Design (~$20K, owner-funded · $300/hr consulting) — if your site needs it, we hand off to our partner Network Connex for full route design and splice-point planning, typically 4–6 weeks for raw land.

  4. Phase 3

Carrier Delivery & Cost Estimates — once feasibility is confirmed, we engage carriers directly to get you lit internet and dark fiber delivery cost estimates.

  5. Phase 4

Certified HPC-Ready Designation — your site earns market-ready status as a Certified HPC-Ready Location, giving you added credibility with future partners and off-takers.

Why This Benefits You

  • →Closes the gap between raw land or early-stage power and true HPC readiness — without you needing existing carrier relationships.
  • →De-risks your investment before capital is committed on either side.
  • →Direct carrier relationships accelerate lit and dark fiber procurement compared to going it alone.
  • →Applies to any real estate asset you control — not just a purpose-built data center site.
Engineering Feasibility

What We'll Assess At Your Site

Alongside fiber feasibility, we apply a structured engineering assessment before a site is considered ready for a Modular Compute Unit. This is the same checklist we use consistently across every site visit and due diligence engagement, so you know exactly what to expect.

1. Power (Primary Constraint)

  • →Available Capacity — contracted kVA/MW, headroom, and ability to scale to 3–20+ MW
  • →Voltage Levels & Transformers — primary/secondary voltages, mobile subs, pad-mounts, and condition/age
  • →Power Factor & Quality — historical PF, harmonics, voltage stability, and any existing penalties
  • →Redundancy & Reliability — N-1/N+1 capability, backup generation, and mobile sub options
  • →Cost Structure — rate schedule (energy, demand, PF penalties), time-of-use, and escalation clauses
  • →On-Site Generation / Recovery — CCHP, steam turbines, stranded gas, or renewables on your site

2. Land & Physical Site

  • →Noise & Community — local ordinances and proximity to residences near your property

4. Operational & Infrastructure

  • →Existing Buildings / Facilities — reusable structures, fuel pads, or staging areas already on site
  • →Security & Access Control — fencing, cameras, and feasibility of 24/7 staffing
  • →Backup Power — diesel/gas generators or battery storage integration options
  • →Maintenance Access — crane pads and service roads for mobile subs and equipment

5. Economic & Regulatory

  • →Incentives & Grants — tax abatements, energy credits, and DOE/state AI infrastructure programs
  • →Utility Relationship — existing contract terms, amendment process, and relationship history
  • →Local Government — economic development support, permitting speed, and community sentiment
  • →Lease Terms — duration, renewal, sub-leasing rights, and power allocation rules

6. Risk & De-Risking Factors

  • →Grid Stability — historical outage data and proximity to critical substations
  • →Harmonics & Power Quality — impact on existing loads and any required mitigation
  • →Expansion Path — ability to add capacity later without major rebuilds
  • →Exit/Contingency — portability of modular units if your plans change

Our Assessment Process

01
Desktop Review

We review your utility bills, one-line diagrams, zoning maps, and fiber maps.

02
Site Visit

We walk your property, inspect existing subs/transformers, and measure key parameters.

03
Technical Studies

Power quality study, interconnection study (if required), and geotechnical assessment.

04
Financial Model

A total cost of ownership estimate using your real power rates, available incentives, and utilization assumptions.

Your Investment

The combined engineering and fiber feasibility study is offered at an all-in cost of $30,000 (additional services added per client's direction will be at extra cost). This covers the full engineering site assessment — power, land, cooling, operational, economic, and risk review — together with the fiber feasibility desktop research and carrier outreach needed to determine your site's readiness for a Modular Compute Unit deployment.

Once complete, you'll have a documented, objective readiness assessment you can use in any conversation — with us or with other partners — about developing your site.
